Before you start

There are a vast number of outcome measures to choose from.  These include patient specific, condition specific and global measures.  However, with such a large variety, knowing what to choose or even what to measure can be difficult.  The Framework aims to narrow down this choice, guiding you through the ‘what, why and how’ of collecting outcome measure information.  Before getting started though please take the time to consider what preparations you may need to do.  Planning at this early stage will save you time and confusion later on and will help you to understand the process better.

Click on each of the links on the left hand panel to read through each of the key stages of preparation that will make your project run as smoothly and successfully as possible.  Using this panel, you can navigate back and forward through each preparatory stage until you are happy to move onto Stage 2.
