Evaluation Support Scotland – This is a good resource for those who are new to evaluation, or for those looking for specific guidance.  There is general guidance on evaluation and research methods and specific examples of successful service evaluations.

Evidence into Practice: Improving Healthcare Quality in Scotland – This resource contains wide variety of information about quality improvement in healthcare.

The Quality Improvement Hub – This is a national collaboration developed to support NHS boards achieve the aims of the Healthcare Quality Strategy: to deliver the highest quality healthcare services to people in Scotland.

Implementation Science: Integrating Science, Practice and Policy – This website contains a number of useful resources that give information about implementing your findings into practice.

In particular the RE-AIM resource is of relevance.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement – This contains really useful information on improvement methods, which links with Stage 6 of the FfMI.  It also contains examples of successful improvement projects.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School for Health Professions – The IHI runs a number of development courses for a modest subscription fee.  Courses are available to health professionals, university staff, and students.

‘Measuring Impact in Health Improvement: An Accessible Guide for Health Practitioners’ - This resource gives excellent guidance on how to carry out and evaluate the impact of a project or initiative. The planning guidance in particular will be useful when planning changes to service based on your findings.

Lesley Holdsworth’s bookPatient Self Referral: A Guide for Therapists- This book focuses on setting up and evaluating a self-referral service, but the evaluation information given is extremely useful for measuring efficiency.

The Picker Institute Europe – In particular, the guidance on improving patient experience.
